Aimee B asked:

I started a California S Corporation in May 2008. I am taking the automatic extension to September 2009. Since my S Corp was only a partial year, I didn’t have to pay the minimum tax of $800 for 2008.

Do I have to send in the 2009 minimum by April 15, 2009? If so, what form do I use? The FTB website is awful.

Thanks in advance!

Use Form 100-ES (2009)… you will need to blacken the 100, 100W or 100S circle… FTB can automatically idenfity your corporation is a S-corp based on the corp’s CA and Federal ID numbers.

You will need to pay the $800 by 4/15 for 2009.
